I'm Dr. Vanessa R. Brooks

After years working in the social services sector as a team lead in case management and as supervisor, I found myself burnt out, underpaid, and emotionally exhausted by toxic systems I once felt called to serve.

At the same time, I was carrying the weight of full-time bi-vocational ministry — leading, loving, and pouring into others while quietly unraveling myself.

Like so many helping professionals, I was caught in the storm of compassion fatigue, toxic workplace culture, and unrelenting stress. And eventually, I knew something had to change.

So I made a bold decision: I stepped away.

I retired from both positions, pursued a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling and earned a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership — specializing in mental health and human services.

So I founded a consulting firm built on a simple, radical idea:
